Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for Innovation OnBoard, ensuring alignment with the program’s mission and goals.
  • Oversee all operations, coordinating with the executive team to deliver workshops, events, and competitions.
  • Act as the primary representative of IOB, fostering partnerships with UBC faculties, sponsors, and external organizations.
  • Lead team meetings, set agendas, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Support and executive team members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Manage high-level outreach and fundraising efforts to secure resources for the program.
  • Coordinate and run meetings with the board of directors to gain program feedback and advice.

  • Oversee the logistical setup and smooth execution of all Innovation OnBoard workshops, events, and the final pitch competition.
  • Coordinate event materials, ensuring teams have necessary supplies such as poster boards, nametags, and presentation tools for the pitch competition.
  • Manage the ordering and setup of food, beverages, and other event essentials.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Team Coordinator to organize event spaces, ensuring seamless transitions between activities.
  • Provide on-site support during events to troubleshoot any technical or logistical issues.
  • Maintain inventory of event materials and coordinate with vendors for timely orders and deliveries.

Time Commitment:

5-8 hours per week

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement new features as needed.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for team members, resolving issues and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate with the President and Vice President to ensure smooth program operations.
